Here's a question: What factor determines whether to close or open the TXVs when changing to a new refrigerant. Is it temperature at saturation, pressure, density, molecular weight or some other variable I'm not considering? The Danfoss low GWP tool gives recommendation based on various swaps but I'm wondering how they come to that determination. Intuition tells me that at a similiar SST your pressure will be different with a new refrigerant which affects the opening force on the evap side of your TXV thus requiring either an open or close adjustment...
