@RJ_HVAC made a great post on similarities between A vs. 4L and B vs. 5L belts when discussing belt length. Check out his post. I want to add something that some may not be aware of. "L" belts are usually labeled FHP which means fractional horse power and should only be used when the motor is less than 1 HP. A and B belts for example are non fractional horse power belts. So, if you have a fractional horse power motor, you can go from 4L to A. But if you have a 5 HP motor you can't go from A to 4L. #teachme
