Over the years I have used a screwdriver to discharge a capacitor, but tbh, it's not the best practice and I don't believe we should teach this method to students/apprentices. It's best to use a resistor (2k ohm for expample), this way you'll get a slower and safer discharge. ***If you're new to the app, please add yourself to groups to be able to post or ask questions*** Happy HVACing
