Looking for advice on semiannual/quarterly service agreements. Have started hitting the residential service agreements harder trying to grow my list of maintenance contracts but I want to hear from anyone who cares to comment on what works good for you. Currently my service agreements for all-electric heat pump/straight A/C systems include ensuring cleanliness of indoor and outdoor coils, testing all run/start components, amp draw test of motors and compressors, removing debris such as leaves from around or inside of outdoor units, and of course a performance test of heating and cooling modes. Gas furnaces makes up less than 30% of the heating marketshare here in south Alabama but those are a separate plan which includes inspection of venting, gas pressure test, flame sensor cleaning, camera inspection of chamber, and checking blower and draft motors. Airflow tests are performed on all systems. Would love to hear tips, criticism, and advice from the group.
