Replaced both these compressors on this Keeprite chiller. R404A chilling glycol through plate heat exchangers for process cooling. Found out what took out the first one, was a malfunctioning solid state time delay hammering the compressor on and off multiple times a second. As for what took out the second compressor we will be tearing it down to find out but I can tell you the valves were bad it wouldn’t hold a pump down, and the net oil pressure fluctuated from 45 psi down to 10 or 5 where it tripped the sentronic safety. Our superheat and sub cooling was good when we fired it back up and the liquid line solenoid was not passing after a pump down. Crankcase heaters were also good.. any ideas what took it out?
