I posted a longer video on IG, FB and YT. Recently I came across a condensing furnace that was intermittently tripping because it couldnt drain well. This was becsuse the AC trap was mot deep enough for the high supply static pressure which had pushed out the water and was forcing air back into the furnace drain tied into it. The fix? Fix the ducts to reduce static, replace the trap with a deeper one and put a vent tee downstream. This pic shows you only have amax 0.5" supply s.p. to play with before these ready- made p traps are overwhelmed and dont do their job. Sometimes the AC drain causes the furnace to trip. Think outside the box. What forces are at play external to the unit that affect it? #teachme
