I was in the process of drilling these out. the thermostats broke off inside and i thought it would be a simple clean out. it got difficult, and my gut said stop drilling, and just get some new wells. Had I drilled another 1/4 inch, I would have been very wet.... 1000 gallon DHW tank behind these, with the valves not holding!!! lol.
