Does anyone use a vibration analysis tool for any type of dignosis? The reason I ask is the science building that I've been working on at the University claimed that they measured vibration frequencies on the first level of the building and they matched the same vibration frequencies coming from the roof mounted exhaust fans. Obviously all rotational equipment I'll vibrate slightly but I'm curious what they were using to determine that. I've looked at a few low cost vibration analyzers but I'm not sure if it's worth the money. There are 6 total exhaust fans on three duct systems for this building.
