I started doing some scheduled pms on these big 75 ton AAon RTUs today I love how neat and clean the electrical sections are on these units! Everything is labeled extremely well through out the unit and makes it a lot easier to service, every time I walk up to these big units I learn a little bit more and feel a lot more comfortable, you start to realize just because things are bigger the concepts are the same, the operating pressures are the operating pressures for the refrigerant your working on whether it’s 5 tons or 75 tons, 7 years ago I was working for a hometown residential company working in oil burners and basic splits and never seen anything bigger then 10tons, I still use those basic concepts and apply them everyday! break each part of the system down individually and take your time to go through things slowly and you pick things up more and more, I find stuff all the time I missed the previous pm that I learned to look at or for between the time I left and returned. This trade is a constant learning experience and there is so much to take from it, never give up and feel like your limited to what you can or can’t do there is always more to learn and everyone has there niche!
