Need a little advice guys. I’m working on a newer greenheck MUA model DGX. The issues they have had for a while are multiple nuisance pilot trips fault 28. Did the basic. Cleaned flame sensor, burners, replace filters, etc. Still having issues. Long story short upon extreme detailed troubleshooting!!! I noticed the flame signal is weak during pilot ignition as you will see from the video. And occasionally the unit will trip on pilot. What I see is happening is I am getting interference from the spark wire effecting my flame signal. When the spark goes away my flame signal jumps. In the Honeywell burner control manual there is a ignition interference test. I have separated the ignition and spark probe wire as they where zip tied together. Contacted Honeywell and they are looking into a solution. Has anyone ran into the issue before? And if so how did you resolve it? I’m not sure if a UV flame detector is an option from what Honeywell informed.
