I’m wondering how some of y’all’s companies handle installs and planning. I believe we should have a lead guy or maybe make a position like project manager to handle planning of installs, because right now it’s a mess. The sales guy is planning with input from the service manager and owner but it very rarely works out. Like today no one thought to measure the new unit before getting it and figure out how to get a 15 ton ahu onto the 2nd floor. They dead ass seriously thought we would bring it up a stair case. No one thought about piping. And said to reuse the stand and aux pan which ended up both being rotted through. Or the fact that we couldn’t move equipment through the park until after hours. This is probably more of me venting my stress 😆. But as we always do we figure out a way and make it happen. I just think it shouldn’t be this stressful getting there.
