I got a call from a customer about re/re-ing a water to water geothermal heat pump. His compressor has locked rotor so he wants to change the whole thing out and I’ve never done it before. It looks like just an inlet and an outlet for the water to circulate. Is it as easy and shutting the ball valves on each water line and disconnecting, dropping the new HP in and hooking them back up? Clearly I’m not a geothermal guy but I’d like to at least sound like I know what I’m talking about.
