Question- I’m going to be installing a resi split system, the evap will be up in the attic and the condenser outside ground level. Approximately 80 feet of line set with 24 feet of rise. Line set size 7/8 and 3/8 , evap has txv. Now typically I wouldn’t use an oil trap but I feel like I should put one in this system. The length of the line and the rise is pushing close to the limit of the condenser. So based on the info provided should there be an oil trap in the system? Also I will be using hard copper not soft . Thanks in advance for the input.
