having some issues on a viessmann 200w. getting intermittent eb sometimes ef errors. found some sooting on the flame sensor last week while I was initially troubleshooting. came back today and opened the boiler, found sooting in the heat exchanger in a few spots. discussed with tech support last week and again this week. went through everything with a fine toothed comb. as per tech support the burner, burner gasket and door gasket are going to be changed. these boilers self calibrate the gas and air ratio based on the flame current. (weird science) performed multiple combustion tests and have checked for flue gas recirculation multiple times over the winter. I dont like it when there is no definitive answer. anybody have similar experience?
