Here's a tip, use the right tool for the job. Two of our chain falls wouldn't clip to the gantry because the hooks were too small. I voiced my opinion against using these home depot grade carabiners but the foreman opted to try it out. Well he changed his mind when both of them have out while lifting this 15 ton unit. He then went down to the maintenance shop and they let him borrow two shackles. It never takes too long to the do the job right and safe. Luckily the unit only dropped a few inches and nobody was working beneath it.
