Pulled the fan assembly today on a 2 year old Trane RTU. It kept throwing belts and we found the fan sheave had fallen on the shaft and spun due to the set screw loosening and the key falling out. Kind of a bear to get out but we cleaned the shaft up, replaced the sheave and it's good to go.
