Question of curiosity, what are the requirements to work in the hvacr trade in your area? Here in Kentucky one has to apprentice 2000 hours ( which recently the statue was changed to include schooling which before the 2000 hours were only counted if they were working hours under a journeyman) and have a master sign off on the hours, then one can take the state exam to become a journeyman. As a journeyman you have to work 2000 under a master who signs off on the hours and then said journeyman can take the exams for a mater license and once insured can apply for the license. Once you have either a journeyman or master license you have to have 6 hours of continuing education each year as well as state licensing fees.
