OIL EQUALIZATION LINE 🛢️ is this something you see on compressors? 💨 For “tandem” compressors (2 compressors in parallel: common suction and discharge) an oil EQ line allows oil to flow between the sump of the compressors. Oil being allowed to flow between the 2 compressor’s oil sumps helps Mitigate low oil levels in a compressor when only one compressor is running. Joining of compressor oil systems is also common in “rack refrigeration” - this is used often in supermarket applications with 2 or more compressors in parallel 💦
