HEAT OF REJECTION - gone to sh$#! In the city of Venice Italy 🇮🇹 I saw these 3 poor heat pump condensers mounted in a tight alley way. My mind went to sadness, I felt bad for the coils with insufficient area to transfer the Condensers HOR (top line of a Pressure Enthalpy Diagram). Air conditioning systems condensers are commonly sized to reject 1.25 times the heat that the evaporator absorbs. Remember that the electric motor in most systems is inside the compressor, which adds additionally heat. I also felt bad about the maintenance they likely won’t receive, or if they do, the guy doing it 👨‍🔧 😢 But this is the area they had to install the condenser I guess…so as they say, when in Rome 🥲
