Reversing Valves πβοΈ QSTN - have you troubleshot, or replaced one? The reversing valve is located in the compressor inlet/outlet line of a heat pump. It allows the outdoor coil to act normally to dissipate heat in cooling. When the solenoid coil is energized, the valve reverses refrigerant flow to send the systems heat indoors for heat pump operation. Notice the solenoid, and pilot lines on the front of the image for pilot gas distribution to switch modes. The valve has 4 pipes attached to it. π₯΅ π₯Ά Keep your eyes open for an article on these babies coming soon to HVACkia Website! ππ
