ACTually… this Actuator is operating an air damper! ⛓️ QSTN - what items do you work on most often with Actuators like this installed on them? Air dampers are very common, but I also have worked with lots of large size refrigerant or water valves, which had an externally mounted actuator like this. Actuator - is the device which operates a valve, air damper (or something else) based on receiving a signal. They can be open or close (like the one pictured), or have a range of positions from 0-100%. Lots of actuators use a 0-10volt signal for control, then have a 24volt power supply to power the motor inside the actuator. ⚙️
