Had a service call today for low airflow error. I wonder why🤢 I also noticed some growth (assuming mold) on the blower wheel so decide to give it good clean while I was there. Couple observations and questions came out of this for me: 1. I need to be more effective about drilling into customers how important it is to keep those filters clean. Maybe by using pictures like these. On the other hand you can't fix lazy, and some customers just don't listen no matter how many times you tell them, which I'm afraid was the case this time. 2. What chemical, if any, are you using to clean the indoor blower wheel? I only had a can of Viper Evap cleaner so coated it with that and took a brush to it and then hosed it down. Worked ok but don't know that it was 100% effective. 3. How many of you make UV lights standard on your minisplit installs? We've only ever installed one on a head for a wine room.
