OIL MANAGEMENT - what is your experience? 🤔 We've all spilled (lots of? 😥) oil on the engine room floor...but what about inside the system? (Most) Refrigeration and AC systems have oil in them. Depending on the system arrangement, a method of helping oil return to the compressor can be required. Compressors push oil out of them whenever they run, as oil is entrained with the refrigerant. In some systems, as long as the compressor run time is long enough, oil will return to the compressor in a timely fashion. Some systems require the use of oil separators, oil management devices (as pictured), or an elevated speed cycle on a compressor that employs a VFD to force oil back to the compressor's sump. 😎 Easter egg: can anyone tell me what is odd about the "setup" in the photo? 🤷♂️ Cheers!
