Proactive leak detection... Walk in cooler call, too warm in the box! This unit was short cycling on its low pressure switch due to a low system charge. This was verified with @testonorthamerica 549i probes. It appears the previous contractor added some dye the last time they added refrigerant. My guess is, they didn't own a solid electronic leak detector. But for me, in this case, it worked out perfectly. The dye created a very efficient leak search this time around which I call proactive leak detection. If you're going to use dye, @spectronicscorp Spectroline should be the go to, it's a highly filtered lubricant that has OEM approval on the Copeland side. #hvac #refrigerantleakdetector #refrigerantleak #walkincooler #hvacr #refrigerationtraining #refrigerationeducation #refrigeration #commercialrefrigeration #refrigerationknowledge #commercialhvac #hvaceducation #hvacknowitallpodcast #hvactraining
