GLYCOL 💦 do you work with any systems employing this? There are Ethylene (BAD if spilled) and Propylene (food grade) glycols depending on their application. Glycol is often used as a “Secondary Refrigerant”. Mixed with water, the fluids freeze point is reduced, so it does not free at temperatures below 0c / 32f. One interesting point from the second image, is that the glycols actually reduce the fluids heat transfer capability. Water having a specific heat of “1”. The pumps also have to work harder to move a glycol mixed solution instead of pure water. 🌊 Happy Friday! 👍
