QSTN: What is your experience with HEAT PUMPS? π¨βπ Utilizing a 4-way reversing valve, Heat Pumps are a simple yet effective method of reversing the refrigeration cycle. This allows the "Indoor Coil" to provide heating, instead of the standard cooling. These units come in all forms now, from Ductless Splits, to Large Commercial Chillers. "Electrified Heating" is a newer term that gets thrown around. Crazy to think that Natural Gas is falling, and an Electrically Powered Mechanical System is a preferred method of heating lots of the time! Most amazing to me, is that even when it is "cold" outside, there is still heat energy remaining which the outdoor coil extracts to add heat to the indoors... π§ Image below of a nice Heat Pump Diagram operating in Heating. π₯
