SNOW MELT ❄️💧 The attached image shows some plastic piping ran across a roof, used as a snow melt. The Ethylene Glycol is heated indoors via a Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger. The Heat source is the Discharge Gas from the Cold Storage Refrigeration System! I was lucky enough to be part of this project some years ago on the Refrigeration side of things. QUESTION: Do you work on any specialized Glycol/Hydronics systems like this? 👨‍🔧 Stuff like driveway snow melt, heated floors in house, and geothermal installations are an interesting niche in the HVAC Market. I have met some guys in this world over the years and it is sort of a specialized area of the trade around Toronto, Canada.
