It's not the heat that gets you, it's the humidity... πŸ”₯πŸ’§ It's "COLD" outside today...and the Relative Humidity is HIGH?! β„οΈπŸ’¦ We often reference a "high humidity" in Toronto (CA) during the summer as in the intro line. This additional Latent Heat (Humidity) makes us feel even HOTTER, and more sticky/sweaty... But in the winter here, we also often have high RH...but we don't feel hot do we? 😳 "HOT" air has a greater ability to hold moisture. "COLD" air, is not capable of holding much moisture: so although "COLD" air's "SPECIFIC HUMIDITY" is low in the winter (it is not holding much moisture by weight), its can have as high as 80-90% RH! 🌧️ QUESTION: Have you had to Apply PSYCHROMETRICS in the field Practically? Image below of the above-mentioned conditions plotted on a Psych Chart! β˜ƒοΈ
