Pressure Enthalpy Diagrams Question: DOES ANYBODY ACTUALLY USE THESE? In Canada, it is in our trade school curriculum to be forced to stare at these "Mollier Diagrams", and hurt our eye balls in an attempt to see inside the pipes. Though painful at first (and always nerdy), over time this actually can help gain a great understanding of system conditions, at the least to drive home the concepts of superheated, subcooled, and saturated refrigerant states. ๐Ÿ™„ But, Does anybody actually use these diagrams? Let me know your experience or lack thereof with these diagrams, and plotting systems on them at work! ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ When working at Continual Energy I actually ended up plotting PE diagrams with our engineering staff with real data from systems we were prototyping. We were aiming to adjust our sub-cooler EXV operation to gain the best refrigerant quality at our main EXV outlet. Attached image is a system sketch/PE plot we did during one of my classes. The link below is the first article I wrote for the HVAC KIA website on Suction Gas Volume. Happy Friday!
