Found a clever brooks boiler system down in an abandoned department store building. Frozen sprinkler heads and frozen radiator lines. Upon further inspection found boiler leaking at endbells. Opened up boiler and refractory was destroyed. The boiler next to it was abandoned but the end bell was in better condition. We fixed the refractory then whitewashed and swapped the endbells on both boilers. Had a company come in and fix 8 tubes on the boiler. Got approved by inspector and got boiler system running again and also fixed the leaks. Was a pretty cool experience to be apart of.
